Third Trimester, I Mock Thee

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions for adding calories to Dean's diet. We tried the coconut oil and it seems to be successful (taste-wise :))! I was unaccustomed to the candle-wax-like consistency, but it liquefies really well and then we just add it to Dean's sippy cup. Hoping it makes the difference!

Here's a 30-week belly picture for all of you who enjoy the spectacle of this ridiculous belly:
Good golly, Miss Molly. Except my name is Ali.

I'm in that glorious wonder known as the third trimester, and rather than cursing it this time around, I'm laughing at the absurdity of it. I have to put my seat farther back in the car when I drive or I can't make turns without my belly getting in the way. I grunt getting on and off the couch. I have to sit back instead of straight up because sweet little feet (well, I guess they're feet - never got good at identifying fetal body parts) are lodged in my ribs and burn (I'm enduring this now to type because otherwise I'd need 6-foot-long arms). Sneezing hurts like heck because I strain a ligament each time. Everything I eat gives me heartburn. I sleep on the couch, in the bed, on the couch, in the bed, depending on what is comfortable for that hour and to break up the weird dreams I have at night. Being this pregnant in the summer (with Cole) was easier because I could just slip on flip-flops and not have to worry about throwing my arms towards my feet in a haphazard motion to put on socks. I will wear probably the same 5 shirts and 2 pairs of pants for the next 8.5 weeks, and you will like it. :)

It's all quite comical. And worth it, as much as I'm not a fan of pregnancy. Can't wait to meet little Emmett. 61 days!
