Protecting Our Children

I know, two posts in a day. Cuh-raaaaaaazay. But I had to.

A friend just posted this article on her Facebook page. As she noted, this is certainly not rocket science, but apparently the public needs Allergy 101 training. I spoke with the VP for Advocacy and Government Relations from the The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network. There is legislation underway for schools to have an on-hand supply of epinephrine (an Epi-Pen) in schools that would be able to be used for any student in the case of an emergency. If you happen to see more about this legislation, please sign or bleed on the paper or etch your signature onto what will make it pass.

And if you have a few minutes, go to the FAAN website and read a bit about food allergies. Even if your kid doesn't have them, many kids do.
