Links Galore!

One more plug to vote for the PWS video in the ChallengePost competition!! Actress Mayim Bialik, who did her Ph.D. thesis on Prader-Willi syndrome, is even endorsing the video on her official Facebook page. Check it out!

You can vote every day until May 11. FPWR's video is almost in second place - there's plenty of time to catch up if we can keep up the momentum!

Also, for the science buffs out there, here's a recent blog entry on FPWR.org about some recent developments in treating genetic disorders like Fragile X. As much as we hope and pray for a cure or another treatment for PWS as soon as possible, it is comforting to know that science is moving in the direction of being able to treat genetic disorders beyond the first few years of life. I know that sometimes advances in medical research introduce tricky ethical issues, but this is one kind of development that is just plain good.
