Six Days Until OSS Richmond!!

Research is the main hope we have for Dean and others with PWS. We know that God works in Dean's life every day, and he also uses the minds and hands of amazingly brilliant scientists to advance treatments for PWS. Among other things, research has already brought about treatments like GH and Provigil, and informs many of the medical decisions we make for Dean. We have very little control over this syndrome, but ground can be gained in following the work that is yet to be done. THIS is why we believe so much in research!

Next Saturday, we will have One SMALL Step for Prader-Willi Syndrome right here in Richmond! Members of our walk have been fundraising for a few months to reach our walk's goal of $10,000. As of this posting, we are at $9,231!! So close! The OSS walks worldwide this year have reached over $963,000 (!!!) towards a goal of $1 million!!

All of the money raised goes towards a specific research plan that is co-sponsored by FPWR and PWSA(USA). More details about this plan can be seen here: http://onesmallstep.fpwr.org/node/451

This will be the last time that I will ask you (this year :)) to contribute to OSS Richmond, Team Dean Machine! Follow the link here: http://onesmallstep.fpwr.org/dw/users/deanmachine/richmond2012

Hi Sharon!
Thanks for commenting!! With PWS being as rare as it is, I am amazed at how many people are touched by it.

Ali :)
