We live in Richmond, Virginia, a new home for us after living in Boston for 10 years. My husband Bob and I met during our days at Boston College and married in 2004. Bob is a chaplain at the local hospital and I am so proud of him. I am a stay-at-home mom to my three boys, Cole (8.17.07), Dean (4.28.09). and Emmett (1.31.11). This blog started years ago as a way to keep our spread-out family and friends in the loop with our lives. When we first got pregnant with Cole, it took on a more regular form and then even more so with the birth of Dean.
At 3 weeks old, Dean was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). This is a life-threatening condition for which there is currently no cure and affects approximately 1 in 15,000. Please visit the site of the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research for more information and to donate towards finding a cure for our loved ones!!!!
I also work from home as a freelance editor, currently editing a medical journal and court documents. I really enjoy this aspect, too, and I'm glad that it allows me to be home with my boys. :)
