Houston, We Have a Toddler

He's not walking, not yet. :) But Dean is like a caged animal, flying around the apartment with all his new skills! He is pulling to stand on everything (and everyone!), cruising on the furniture and trying to stand independently - but he has no balance!! I'm really going to have my work cut out for me when he's walking!

Tonight it was all I could do practically to tackle him to get him his last cup of milk, PJs on, GH shot done, diaper changed, and teeth brushed. The kid is fast!! Bob is working tonight and i didn't realize how much I depend on two people being available for the job! Fortunately Cole is getting better at doing things himself and was happy to help me corral Dean a bit. And suddenly, the word "no" has become practically an invitation to do exactly what he was just told NOT to do. Dean used to listen, but he's getting more and more of the toddler attitude. It's really annoying and yet I'm thankful in this weird way that he's able to do these things. You know? But I'm still tired. lol

And so Dean is still falling a ton, probably even more so now that he is doing new things. I'm still considering the helmet. It seems so silly because all kids fall, but kids with really low muscle tone who are stronger than their bodies know what to do with fall a LOT. His sweet big little head. ;)

I'm so glad so many of you enjoyed the video from yesterday. I love these kids. They play together really well for the most part - as long as I can keep Cole away from Dean's face. :)

Here's another video in a much, much calmer point of the day. Dean clapping. Not horribly exciting, but cute nevertheless:

That's so cute that Lillian clapped, too. lol

Yes, the boys both got a haircut! I have to cut their hair about every 4 weeks. It's nuts!
