PWS Moms, and My New Mama Challenge

Keegan Johnson, Executive Director of FPWR and President & Chairman of FPWR Canada, posted a great article today on the contribution of PWS moms. I wanted to share it with you here:

When Dean was born, I didn't know what was going on with him, but I felt the fight come up in me. I was so terrified, but determined. You can mess with me, but do NOT mess with my kid. :) I hear this from other moms again and again. Watch out for Mama Bear! Obviously, we are surrounded by many others who help us, but this is a special shout-out to all the mamas out there who fight for their babies, PWS or not!

Right now as a mom, I have a goal that I haven't had in some time because it's all about me - get back in shape! I miss feeling physically strong and able to workout without my heart beating out of my chest. :) I know, I'm only 5 weeks postpartum, but this emphasis on fitness for me is something I haven't done for quite some time. So it's exciting. And let's be honest, I'm eager to lose the baby weight and just have my body back after 4 years of loaning it to babies! :)

I started Jillian Michaels' "30-Day Shred" DVD yesterday and I'm really wanting to stick to it. My muscles HURT, but again, this is a feeling I haven't had in awhile. So it's a good pain.

I don't weigh myself, so I'm going totally by feel on this one. I didn't feel like showing you the before picture, but here's to transparency. lol
I have no clue what that expression on my face is all about!
